This is a recognised qualification that aims to upskill primary school teachers, higher level teaching assistants and teaching assistants with extensive experience (experience across year groups and pupil groups) to improve the overall delivery of the physical education curriculum within primary schools. On successful completion of this qualification, delegates will be able to assist in raising the standards within primary school physical education teaching. afpe
The course is an ideal way to meet the Key Indicator of the Primary PE Sport Premium – increased confidence, knowledge and skills of all staff in teaching PE and Sport. We will also be able to ensure impact of your premium spend.
The course is led by Emma Marshall, a PE specialist Lead for Education with over 20 years of experience delivering PE lessons as a primary practitioner and PE CPD as an Advanced Skills Teacher and PE Advisor. Emma is a Year 5 teacher at Colmore Junior School.
Emma has led on the organisation and delivery of the Level 5 and Level 6 Primary PE Qualification with Services for Education.
The interactive training will be delivered live via Zoom. Following the sessions participants will have a task to complete in their own settings. Email/phone support is available throughout the course.
