The CPTSA Science Forum is a chance for the Science Leaders from affiliated schools to meet, network and share best practice and training. Meetings have a different focus every half term and often feature guest speakers or demonstrations from local Science providers.

In its first meeting, the forum welcomed Kate Redhead from the Primary Science Teaching Trust, who shared her advice and experience in setting up a successful forum. Since then, we have heard from Chris Catto of the Science Learning Partnership, who arranged a brilliant bespoke training session on assessment and working scientifically led by Linda Atherton.

We have also experienced an explosive demo of 'bubble science' from Jim Bell of the Explorer Dome company. Feedback from Forum attendees has been extremely positive; our members really appreciate the chance to share ideas and support with other Science Leaders. We are hopeful that we can build on a successful first year and gain more new members in the new school year.

The next Science Network meeting date will be published shortly
