Music Network

The aim of the Music Network is to host and facilitate regular meetings that will give primary music co-ordinators and teachers the opportunity to take part in free music CPD; offer support in delivering high-quality curriculum music and develop a strong network that will lead to the sharing of good practice across schools.

Representatives from the BEP and Services for Education will also be present to share upcoming events and resources accessible to schools. Sessions will include support in delivering whole-school signing, assessment of music in primary schools and supporting non-music specialist teachers in your school. Further information to follow in the Autumn Term.

Music Network Twilight Session

Please note, due to school closures we are not publishing any meeting dates

The aim of the Music Network is to host and facilitate regular meetings that will give primary music co-ordinators and teachers the opportunity to take part in free music CPD; offer support in delivering high-quality curriculum music and develop a strong network that will lead to the sharing of good practice across schools.

The first meeting was held in Autumn 2019. The focus of this meeting was take a closer look at the new Ofsted framework and consider how subject leads can prepare for potential “deep dives” into the Music curriculum in our schools. There were opportunities for each subject lead to share how they are planning to prepare for this greater scrutiny, and how intent, implementation and impact might be evidenced in Music in our schools
