Colmore Infant School and Colmore Junior School were awarded National Teaching School status in 2013 and formed the CPTSA (Colmore Partnership Teaching School Alliance).
This well-deserved national accolade recognised the high quality support work undertaken by the staff to raise the standards of teaching and learning for children.
I am delighted as the new Executive Headteacher of The Colmore Schools and Teaching School to continue the work with my predecessors, Viv Randall and Cheryl Millard, the talented and dedicated Colmore staff, our Associate schools, higher education partners and Specialist Leaders of Education.
We seek to develop a culture of sharing excellent practice in education. We know that this will have a positive impact on children's life chances whilst delivering opportunities for high quality professional development. All this is done through the six strands of the teaching school: school to school support, initial teacher training, continuing professional development, research and succession planning.
If you would like to find out more about our Teaching School Alliance, and help shape the future of education, we would love to hear from you
